Three farmers commit suicide in Kadapa

KADAPA: Three debt-ridden cotton farmers committed suicide at different places in Porumamilla mandal in Badvel constituency.
Konda Siddha Reddy, 30, and his wife Ramadevi, 25, of Rangasamudram village consumed pesticide in their house following poor yield of cotton crop, which was infested by pests. Siddha Reddy died in a private hospital at Porumamilla while Ramadevi died on the way to hospital. They leave behind a three-year-old son.
Bijivemula Chennakrishna Reddy, 35, who was saddled with a debt of Rs. 4 lakh, consumed pesticide on suffering cotton crop loss. He is survived by wife, a son and a daughter, according to police.
