Mixed luck for MAIS

BANGALORE: Host Mallya Aditi International School (MAIS) had mixed fortunes in the MAIS-conducted inter-School Sports Fest at its ground here.

While its basketball teams had a good day, the MAIS football teams did not fare as well, with its girls losing to Vidyashilp Academy narrowly.

The results: Basketball: Boys: JIRS 33 (Nikhil 20) bt National Hill View PS 30; Vidyaniketan 32 (Akash 16) bt Sarla Birla Academy 20 ; Mallya Aditi Int. School 33 (Ashwal 11) bt JIRS 28.

Girls: MAIS 14 bt Cluny Convent 5; Bishop Cottons 26 (Anchal 15) bt Sophia HS 23 (Roshni 10); Bishop Cottons 18 bt Vidyaniketan 10; Cluny Convent 19 bt Sacred Heart 8.

Football: Boys: MAIS bt National Hill View 6-0; Bethany HS bt Vidyaniketan 4-0; JIRS bt St. Joseph Boys 2-1; Bishop Cottons bt MAIS ‘B’ 4-3.

Girls: JIRS bt Vidyaniketan 2-1; Vidyashilp Academy bt MAIS 4-3.
