MANGALORE: The Karnataka Bank has launched ‘Quickremit’, a web-based inward remittance facility for Non-Resident Indians residing in Canada, the U.K. and the U.S. In a communiqué to the press, the bank’s Chief General Manager said that this “novel” product facilitated quickest and cheapest mode of remittance compared to conventional methods. For this purpose, the bank allied with Citibank. This product can be used by the remitter abroad to remit money to any person in India, including those who are not part of the Karnataka Bank’s clientele.
