Minorities panel for probe into priest’s death
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The National Commission for Minorities will take up with the Union Home Ministry the demand of Christian institutions in the State for a Central Bureau of India (CBI) inquiry into the murder of Father Thomas Pandippally at Yellareddy in Nizamabad district on August 16.
The Commission member Harcharan Singh Josh told a press conference here that the AP Federation of Churches led by the Archbishop of Hyderabad Marampudi Joji represented the demand to him on Friday.
Mr. Josh regretted that the State Government did not consider the recommendation of the National Commission for Backward Classes for inclusion of Sikhligars, among BCs .
