Call to popularise Juvenile Justice Act

The need to popularise various provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act, which was stressed by Juvenile Justice Desk, Navajeevan in-charge, P. Shyamala Devi and Member of JJ Board Shamsuddin. Addressing media persons here on Friday, Ms. Shyamala Devi pointed out that though the Act was made in 2000, not only people but officers in the departments concerned with the implementation of the Act were not aware of the provisions of the Act. The Child Welfare Committee and JJB, Navajeevan ,Vizag and the JJ Desk, Navajeevan, Vijayawada are organising a district-level orientation programme on Juvenile Justice System and Community participation in the Platinum Jubilee Hall, International Hostel, AU, on Saturday.
