BIDAR: Bidar district in-charge Minister Revu Naik Belamagi on Saturday asked officials of various government departments to take welfare schemes launched by the State Government to the doorstep of the people. Speaking to presspersons in Basavkalyan taluk, Mr. Belamagi said the State Government led by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa had framed many welfare schemes for the benefit of the poor. Officials should make efforts to reach schemes such as Sandhya Suraksha and widow pension to deserving people. He said veterinary hospitals would be set up in all villages of the State. Basavaraj Patil Attur, Basavkalyan MLA, said a project was being prepared to provide water supply and basic amenities to Basavkalyan town. At Bhosga village, a tank was being revived at a cost of Rs. 1.5 crore. Later, Mr. Belamagi launched several development schemes such as construction of classrooms at Kohinoor village of Basavkalyan taluk. He inaugurated veterinary hospitals at Betagera, Bhosga and Ujalamba villages and a Primary Health Centre at Ladvanthi village. Narsinghrao Surywanshi, Bidar MP, Bidar Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer Umesh Kusagal and chairman of the Standing Committee on Health and Education Amruth Chimkhod participated.
