Forced landing of plane at IGI Airport
NEW DELHI: A Jet Airways flight from Amritsar to London made a forced landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Saturday evening after the pilot detected a fault in the windshield of the A-330 aircraft.
Flight number 9W124 that was carrying around 220 passengers and crew members landed at the IGI Airport after the pilot felt the windshield of the plane was not in “good shape”, said an airline spokesperson.
“It was an ordinary landing. All passengers are safe. Since the IGI Airport is a big airport, there is always a plane on standby. After landing at the Delhi airport, the aircraft was changed and the passengers resumed their journey by another plane. The first aircraft has been sent for maintenance work,” he added.
