KARIMNAGAR: In a major breakthrough, the Karimnagar district police have arrested four members of an 11-member dacoit gang involved in a sensational triple murder case in Kalwacherla village of Kamanpur mandal and recovered 8 cell phones and gold ornaments from them. Disclosing this to newsmen here on Saturday, Superintendent of Police Y. Gangadhar said that they had constituted five teams after the dacoits struck terror in Kalwacherla village with the killing of three persons in a house. Accordingly, a police team visited Asgaon village of Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state and nabbed four members of the gang namely Indu Bhai (50), Kalyan (19), Nandu (35) and Chandu (20). ConfessionFollowing their interrogation, they confirmed their involvement in the crime. The police had also recovered a cellular phone stolen from Kalwacherla village from them. The gang said that they were a total of 11 members including three women and eight men. The modus operandi of the gang involves the erection of temporary shelters on the outskirts of towns where they sell plastic flowers and other decorative items. During the morning hours, the women in the gang go around villages and towns, identify secluded houses and inform the same to their male counterparts. Later, at night the gang commits the offence. The gang would also divert the attention of investigation officers by committing different types of crime at one place. Likewise, in Kalwacherla village, the gang attacked the house of a retired Singareni employee and killed three inmates and thrashed two infants brutally. Later, they committed house burglaries in two different houses of the same locality. The SP complimented the Godavarikhani ASP Tarun Joshi, Godavarikhani Two Town CI D Narsaiah, Ramagundam CI Tajuddin, Raikal SI Ch Mallaiah, Kamanpur SI Laxman Babu and other police personnel for detecting the case.
