Improve English skills: poet

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Only by increasing their communication skills in English can Malayalis hope to overcome the global challenges of today, poet Vishnu Narayanan Namboodiri has said.

He was inaugurating Literacti-08, the cultural association of students of the English Department of M.G. College here. It was English that made the global journeys of Malayalis possible, Mr. Namboodiri pointed out.

College Principal G. Madhukumar was among those who participated in the inaugural ceremony, a press note issued here said. — Staff Reporter
