Three injured in fire
NOIDA: Three persons were injured in a fire at Indian Oil Corporation building in Sector-1 here on Saturday.
According to the police, the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the building around 6 p.m. and several people were trapped inside. The fire soon spread to other floors and three persons, all contract labourers, leapt of the building. They were taken to Kailash Hospital where the condition of one of them is said to be serious. Over a dozen fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. Three fire tenders from the Delhi Fire Service Department were also called in.
“The building has been evacuated and the fire has been brought under control. The cause of fire is not immediately known,” said Senior Superintendent of Police (Noida) R.K. Chaturvedi.
