Woman outwits kidnappers, rescues husband

BANGALORE: Two men, who were denied protection money, kidnapped a man, only to be outsmarted by the victim’s wife who caught them and handed them over to the police.
The woman is allegedly involved in prostitution in K.R. Puram and the two men, Azam and his friend Taslim, demanded monthly protection money from her.
When she refused to pay them, they allegedly kidnapped her husband Gangadhar from an apartment in J.P. Nagar on Thursday and demanded a ransom of Rs. 1 lakh. After changing the venue for the meeting, Azam asked her to come to a spot on Mahatma Gandhi Road Thursday night, which she did, but along with a carload of accomplices. Azam and Taslim arrived on a motorcycle only to be caught.
