Chandigarh: A former army man was arrested and 1.23 kg of cocaine was recovered from him, police said on Saturday. The cocaine was recovered from the retired army man at a check-post on the Landran-Sohana road at Mohali on Friday. Dara Singh, an ex-serviceman, told the police that the cocaine was supplied to him by a Deputy Superintendent of Police Gurdarshan Singh Sondhi, who was posted at the police headquarters in Panchkula. Two cheques of Rs 10 lakh were also recovered from Sondhi who was also arrested, the police spokesman said.
