Trickster takes away Rs.1.30 lakh
VILLUPURAM: A trickster took away Rs.1.30 lakh from V. Govindasamy (57) of Vadasiruvalur, a foreman in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board at Tindivanam, on Saturday.
The police said Mr. Govindasamy had encashed a cheque from the Tindivanam branch of Indian Bank and hung the cash bag on the handlebar of his moped.
When he was about to start the vehicle an unidentified person patted on his back and showed him the five currency notes of Rs.10 denomination scattered on the floor. When Mr. Govindasamy was about to pick up the notes, the stranger took away the bag.
