Convincing win for JCT

NEW DELHI: Braving hostile weather and undeterred by an ill-kept field, JCT and Sporting Clube de Goa scored contrasting victories in the quarterfinal league of the Durand Cup football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Saturday.

JCT was convincing in its 3-1 win over Tata Football Academy while Sporting struggled to overcome Air-India 1-0. The win carried JCT’s tally to six points while Sporting moved to three. — Special Correspondent
