Billiards & Snooker
Snooker trials at MCC
Chennai: Madras Cricket Club will be the venue for the selection trials for the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India on September 13 and 14 to pick National snooker team (men and masters) for the IBSF World snooker championships to be held at Wels (Austria) from October 27 to November 8.
The participants in the men’s section for the trials include, Pankaj Advani, Aditya Mehta, Manan Chandra, Saurav Kothrari. Alok Kumar, Yasin Merchant, Rupesh Shah and Geet Sethi and for the masters event, Geet Sethi, Devendra Joshi, Alok Kumar, Yasin Merchant, and S.A. Saleem.
The top two finishers in each section will figure in the world championship.
