Chiranjeevi’s entry into politics is quite welcome. He may be a novice to politics like NTR but he would be quite successful as he has pledged to do his best without succumbing to caste politics and to pressure tactics of any kind. People have lot of expectations about him and hope that he would be harbinger of peace, prosperity, and communal harmony. He should allot seats to most deserving candidates among women, who would not be guided by their spouses. This should be done without any fear or favour to earn a good name for his party. T.P.S. Sastry Bhimavaram Tap solar powerPower shortage has been a perennial problem during summer. The government and Transco officials are facing much difficulty in distributing the available power to meet the needs of the public, more particularly farmers. Chandrasekhar Rao, who is known for his bitter remarks against TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, is maintaining restraint. Sometime ago, when T. Devender Goud quit the TDP and launched a party, there were reports that Mr. Naidu called on the TRS president. These incidents clearly indicate that the TDP is leaving no stone unturned to come back to power. K. Lakshmi Eluru
