NEW DELHI: An eight-member expert committee has been constituted by the Indira Gandhi National Open University Vice-Chancellor to start a foundation course in Bhojpuri language, Prof. Shatrughna Kumar, Course Coordinator School of Humanities at IGNOU, has announced. There are 20 crore people of our country who speak Bhojpuri, the largest among Indian languages after Hindi. Prof. Ramdev Shukla (Gorakhpur), Prof. Prabhunath Singh (Patna) , Prof. Virendra Narayan Yadav (Chapra) Dr. Premshila Shukla, Devariya, Prof. Rameshwar Mishra (Shantiniketan, West Bengal) and Prof. Satyadev Tripathi (Mumbai) participated in the expert committee meeting.
