dated September 2, 1958: Amrit Kaur honoured

Rajkumari Amrit Kaur, head of the Indian Red Cross Society, was presented with the Soviet Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ highest decoration, the badge of honour, at a ceremony in Moscow on September 1, Tass, the Soviet news agency, said. The award was made for her “active participation in the promotion of co-operation and consolidation of friendly ties between the Soviet and Indian Red Cross Socieies,” Tass said.
