Bardhan shifted to AIIMS

NEW DELHI: Communist Party of India general secretary A.B. Bardhan was shifted to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here from a Barauni hospital on Monday. The CPI leader fell ill on his way to Saharsa in Bihar on Sunday.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat, Janata Dal (Secular) chief H.D. Deve Gowda and Telugu Desam Party leader N. Chandrababu Naidu, enquired about his health on the phone, a CPI release said.
