LIC completes 52 years of service to customers

CHENNAI: Life Insurance Corporation of India has completed 52 years of service to its customers. During 2007-08, LIC has completed 375.90 lakh new policies with first premium income of Rs. 43,812.86 crore. As on March 31, 2008, LIC has invested Rs. 80,359 crore in the infrastructure and social sector. T.S. Vijayan, Chairman, thanked all the policy and stake holders for continuing to maintain their faith in LIC. — Corporate Reporter
