SIO to hold student meet

TIRUR: The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) will organise a district campus students’ conference at Wagon Tragedy Hall here on November 1 with the motto of ‘fight the silence’ and ‘stop the violence’.

Over 2,500 students from across the district are expected to attend the meet, which will be addressed by national leaders of different organisations.

A meeting of the SIO held at Malappuram decided to intensify its ongoing agitation against the inefficiency and anti-student moves of Calicut University. SIO district president Yasin Ishaque presided over the function.
