Students flock to Australian education fair

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: With a choice to select from over 1,000 academic courses offered by 37 different universities and institutions, students planning to pursue higher education in Australia made good use of the Australian Education fair held here on Tuesday.

The fair was organised by IDP Education India Private Limited providing admissions into different Australian universities for the February 2009 season. In 2008, already over 25,000 students have enrolled for different courses, of which, 3000 students are from Andhra Pradesh, said IDP Education, Hyderabad, Manager Inthiyaz Bannuru.

Australian universities have established academic and performance standards, which are audited for every five years by the Australian University Quality Assurance, a non- profit organisation.

The audit reports were made public and can be accessed on www.auqa.edu.au website, he said.
