‘Jaber was in touch with SIMI leader’

HYDERABAD: Jaber, who was picked up on Monday by the Special Investigation Team probing the twin blasts case, had met Safdar Nagori of Students Islamic Movement of India during the latter’s visit to Hyderabad, the police said on Tuesday.

Replying to a question at a press conference, City Police Commissioner B. Prasada Rao said that Jaber interacted with Nagori - allegedly responsible for several terror strikes in the country. He exchanged some material with Nagori. SIT officials produced Jaber before a magistrate and lodged him in Cherlapally jail.
