Reaching out: Arjun Rampal (left) with the Rock On team in Bangalore on Thursday. Bangalore: Members of the cast from the movie Rock On — Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli — visited Fun Cinemas and interacted with the fans and movie buffs on Thursday. Farhan Akhtar enthralled the audience by singing some songs from the movie with Arjun Rampal also chipping in occasionally and singing along, much to the delight of the crowd. The crowd went wild when the crew chucked the music CD at them. Luke Kenny made an appeal to the audience to buy the real thing and not download it from the Net or buy pirated versions. “Unlike the West, Bollywood does not have a mechanism in place to check piracy. A mechanism is being evolved, but will take time. The public should help fight piracy by buying only original music,” he said. The crew members also discussed their experiences in the making of the film. Luke Kenny said he was thrilled to be part of a venture that involved Farhan, Arjun and Purab. Farhan quipped that he had enjoyed acting and singing for the film. He said: “The fact that the movie has been doing well in multiplexes and smaller centres dispels any rumours about it being aimed at a select audience. All of us had fun working in the film. We felt like being a part of an actual rock band.” The stars also presented a guitar to one of the patrons of Fun Cinemas who had won a loyalty programme award.
