Sathish scalps five

TIRUVARUR: Sathish Srinivasan scalped five wickets as Cuddalore defeated Nilgris by 34 runs in the TNCA under-14 inter-district cricket tournament, here on Wednesday.

The scores: At Tiruvarur: Pudukottai 60 in 23.2 overs (E. Wilson Fernando three for 16) lost to Tiruvarur 65 for one in 9.1 overs (Adhinathan 35 n.o.); Cuddalore 187 for eight in 50 overs (J. Aravindan 64 n.o.) bt Nilgris 153 in 42.5 overs (Dhruv Dave 68, Sathish Srinivasan five for 15); Pudukottai 134 for nine in 50 overs (Aravindaraj three for 25) lost to Nilgris 135 for three in 39.3 overs (Sanjay Krishna 33 n.o., Dhruv Dave 32 n.o.); Nagpattinam 73 in 24.3 overs (S. Saravanan three for 17) lost to Tiruvarur 76 for three in 17.2 overs (Adhinathan 39 n.o.)

At Karur: Perambalur 95 in 48.5 overs (Varun Kalyanaraman four for 16) lost to Madurai 96 for one in 16.2 overs (Atheek Fazal 75 n.o.) Madurai secured a bonus point.

Karur 115 in 47.5 overs (S. Nishanth 31, Sriram Kumar three for 22) lost to Erode 116 for three in 45.5 overs (S. Sree Suryaprasad 40); Perambalur 61 in 26.5 overs (P. Sriram Kumar three for nine, V. Selvaganapathy three for 10) lost to Erode 62 for one in 13.1 overs; Namakkal 147 in 45.2 overs (R. Prabhakaran 73, Arun Kumar three for 40) bt Karur 110 in 44.1 overs (D. Sabareesan three for 21).
