Postal divisions, employees felicitated

KOCHI: Postal divisions and employees coming under the Central Zone of the Kerala Postal Circle who presented exemplary performance were felicitated. Individuals who collected the highest deposits under the Postal Life Insurance and Rural Postal Life Insurance schemes were also among the honoured.

Uday Balakrishnan, Chief Postmaster General of Kerala Postal Circle, gave away awards and trophies at a regional award mela held here. Shobha Koshi, Postmaster General, Central Zone, presided over the function.

Three persons, who were selected as winners under the Rural Postal Life Insurance scheme, were awarded gold coins. Mr. Balakrishnan gave away cash awards and certificates to three school students who won the letter writing competition held in connection with Postal Week Celebrations last year.

Winners of the stamp designing competition held for schoolchildren were also felicitated. Postal employees from Ernakulam, Thrissur, Idukki, Kottayam and Alapuzha districts and Lakshadweep attended the mela.
