LDF stayed decision on quota: Chandy

Special Correspondent

Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy alleges that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government has stayed the previous United Democratic Front (UDF) government’s decision on 10 per cent reservation for the economically backward among forward communities in government colleges for degree and post-graduate courses.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Chandy said his government had taken the landmark decision to provide 10 per cent reservation to economically backward among the forward communities in February 2006.
