Demand for special trains

KOCHI: The Kollam-Ernakulam Railway Users’ Association has demanded that more special trains be introduced on the Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai routes for the benefit of people who travel home to Kerala and back during the Onam season.

The Railways must run more special trains to these destinations on a war footing to prevent overcrowding in general and other compartments, said K.J. Paul Manvettom, president of the association.
