Indrajith to lead

Chennai: B. Indrajith of St. Bede’s will lead the City under-16 team which will take on Combined Districts in the first match of the R.K. Venkatachalam Trophy cricket tournament, which will be played from September 7 to 9 at Jaya Engineering College.

The team: B. Indrajith (Capt.), R. Ananth, K. Bharath Shankar, L. Leonard Bruno, B. Aparajith, S. Selva, Jitinder Scidanandh, A. Aswin Crist (all St. Bede’s); V. Ganga Sridhar Raju, Nitin Dharam R. Vishnu (all Santhome); P.T. Sivanesan, Shikar Hukku, S.R. Vibhu (all St. John’s); Abhishek Mehra (Chettinad Vidyashram). Coach-Manager: P.C. Prakash.

Marathon certficates

Athletes who took part in the Marg-Chennai Marathon on Sunday can collect their participation certificates, by producing their registration receipts, on September 5 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from the following venues:

Nehru Stadium, Nungambakkam Tennis Courts, Velachery Swimming Pool, Shenoy Nagar Swimming Pool, Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium and Tamil Maiyam, Mylapore.

Throwball trials

The Kancheepuram district throwball selection trials for men and women will be held at the Sacred Heart Matric HSS, Sholinganallur, on September 6 at 3 p.m. The selected will take part in the State senior championship at Tuticorin from September 26 to 28. For details, call 99406 29132.
