Mourned

Bangalore: The former Prime Minister and national President of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda has mourned the demise of columnist and communicator H.Y. Sharada Prasad, who passed away on Tuesday. In a condolence message, Mr. Gowda said Sharada Prasad, who also hailed from his hometown of Holenarsipur in Hassan district, served the nation with great distinction in different capacities.

Governor Rameshwar Thakur in his condolence message said: “I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of H.Y. Sharada Prasad. He was a person of rare qualities though he kept himself away from limelight. In his death the country, and his home State, Karnataka, in particular, have lost a fine human being and a great thinker of the contemporary world.
