CUDDALORE: S. Karthik (22) of Pandarakottai drowned in the sea off Thevanampattinam while trying to immerse a Vinayakar idol on Friday. Meanwhile, thousands idols, installed at various places, were taken to the sea, the Veeranam tank, the Wellington lake, the Kollidam and the Vellaru and immersed.
