Tirupur: A total of 59,213 applications were received during the special campaign conducted by the revenue administration as part of the summary revision of photo electoral rolls for Tirupur North Assembly constituency following the publication of draft photo rolls on July 16. New constituencyThe Tirupur North is a new constituency emerged after the delimitation exercise. Official sources told The Hindu that of the total applicants, 58,679 persons submitted their applications in Form 6 for inclusion and change of address from one constituency to the other. A total of 233 persons filed the applications in Form 8 for corrections in the draft rolls. Likewise, 300 applicants submitted their requests for transposition of entries within an Assembly constituency in Form 8 A. One elector filed his application in Form 7 for deletion of his name from the rolls. Scrutiny Sources said that the applications would be scrutinised before the requisite data were amalgamated into the final photo electoral rolls to be published later this month. According to draft photoelectoral rolls, there were 1,30,710 voters in the constituency.
