Salon owner hacked to death

Bangalore: A 25-year-old man, who was running a haircutting salon, was hacked to death at Venkateshwara Layout, near Madiwala, on Thursday. Tarun, who was allegedly involved in several criminal cases, was attacked by seven persons with weapons as he was going home after closing his shop around 8.30 p.m. Tarun was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday. The police suspect enmity behind the murder as Tarun was an accused in cases of assault and robbery registered in Madiwala police station.

Pedestrian killed

A 62-year-old pedestrian died on the spot when he was hit by a two-wheeler on Pune-Bangalore National Highway on Thursday. Rajanna (62), a retired employee of HMT, was a resident of Peenya.
