Belgaum: Belgaum city-based Dr. S.J. Nagalotimath International Foundation and Rajeev Grameen Abhivrudhi Samsthe, Nesargi, have announced the names of 26 teachers serving in primary schools and high schools who will be honoured with the State-level and district-level “Adarsha Shikshaka” awards for the year 2008. The organisations have been honouring teachers serving in primary schools, high schools and pre-university colleges in the district and other parts of the State on the occasion of Teachers’ Day for the last several years. The awards will be given away at function to be held at Mahant Bhavan in Mahantesh Nagar here on September 14. The teachers selected for the district-level award are: Mallappa Basappa Madbhavi, Government Higher Secondary Schoool, Kitturayankodi, Raibag; Veerupakshi Vereshbilva Tallur, Government Higher Secondary School, Yerzharvi, Savadatti; Basawaraj Balappa Navalgatti, S.P.G.G. Composite Junior College, Munavalli, Savadatti; Raveendra Pandurang Betgeri, Government Higher Secondary School, Avaradi, Ramdurg; Sanjay Gopal Kurne, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Inapur, Athani; Rayappa Kallappa Nerli, Government Middle School, Galataga, Chikkodi; Hanumanthappa Basavanthappa Pattar, Government Higher Secondary School, Savadatti; Geeta Basawaarj Mardimath, Smt. G.G. Yellur Primary School, Belgaum; Parameshwar Halanayak, Regional Resource Centre, Belgaum; Mahantesh Yallappa Menshinkayi, Government Composite Higher Secondary School, Sulebhavi, Belgaum; Shankar Raosaheb Chunmari, Sri Durdundeshwar High School, Sankeshwar, Hukkeri; Yelappa Chambappa Shintri, Government Higher Secondary School, Kurgond, Bailhongal; Siddaiah C. Dharadmath, Siddalingeshwar High School, Deshnur, Bailhongal; Mahadev Laxman Singe, Composite P.U. College, Raibag; Mohandas Gopalappa Kademani, Government Higher Secondary School, Manikatti, Savadatti; and Savalgeppa Basappa Panishetti, Government High School, Ramdurg. The teachers selected for the State-level award are: Ramu B. Mulgi, Smt. Shivalingamma Shankargouda Government Primary School, Hubli; Palakshaiah Fakeeriah Hiremath, K.G. High School, Shirahatti; Kalappa Veerupakshappa Badiger, Government Kannada Pre-primary School, Gundeshwar, Belgaum; Y.K. Konnur, Government Kannada Pre-primary School, Athani; Parameshvariah Sangaiah Soppumath, Government Higher Secondary School, Hagaribomanahalli, Bellary and Yellappa Basappa Kadkol, Government Higher Secondary School, Teggihal, Savadatti. The special State-level award will be presented to Shobha C. Indi, Sri Karemma Devi High School, Tegur, Dharwad; Ajjappa Balappa Uppar, Vidymandir High School, Nesargi, Bailhongal; and Baburao Vithoba Nadoni, Sri Vivekanand College of Fine Arts, Raibag. The State-level “Dr. S.J. Nagalotimath Adarsha Shikshaka Prashasti” will be presented to Jayashree H. Kulkarni, Government Higher Secondary School, Narayanpur in Surpur taluk of Gulbarga district, according to the foundation’s secretary Sanjay Nagalotimath here on Saturday.
