HASSAN: Regional Commissioner, Mysore Division, Jayanthi has said that the election for the post of vice-president of the Hassan Zilla Panchayat, which is now vacant following a resignation, will be held on September 10. The post is reserved for OBC “A” category. The election will be held at the zilla panchayat meeting hall at 3 p.m. Ms. Jayanthi said the tenure of the next vice-president would be from September 10, 2008 to July 6, 2009. Nominations could be filed from 10 a.m. till noon on September 10, 2008 at the CEO’s chamber at the zilla panchayat office. Scrutiny of applications would be held on the same day.
