Nedumbassery: The handbag of a passenger who arrived at the Cochin International Airport on Saturday was stolen in broad daylight. The incident occurred when the passenger, Girija of Kottayam, along with her daughter arrived here from Doha at 8.45 a.m. by a Qatar Airways flight and came out of the terminal with their baggage on a trolley after the clearance procedures. She was reportedly talking to one of her friends over the phone when the handbag was spirited away. The bag contained two passports, green card, a mobile phone, $700 and some Indian currencies.
