Denied bail

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Friday rejected a bail petition by a native of Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu after the State Government submitted that the petitioner was running a brothel and that she had tried to force a minor girl to take to prostitution. The petitioner, Chitra, a resident of Nallinagara, Kirup, Dharmapuri, said she was arrested by the Bangalore police on the charge of running a brothel in Tamil Nadu and that she had tried to force a minor girl into the prostitution racket. — Staff Reporter
