KOLKATA: Keen to step up its presence in the South, Allahabad Bank has applied for more authorisations with the Reserve Bank of India. It at present has on hand four authorisations for Karnataka, two for Kerala and 17 for Tamil Nadu. A release said that the bank had applied for 12 more authorisations with the RBI. The bank on Saturday opened its 10th branch in Bangalore city, taking its presence to 22 in Karnataka.
