Sharan, Srinivasan shine

TIRUVARUR: R. Sharan’s unbeaten century and R. Srinivasan’s six-wicket haul were the highlights of Cuddalore’s 103-run win over Pudukottai in the TNCA u-14 inter-district cricket tournament on Saturday.

The scores: At Tiruvarur: Cuddalore 234 for five in 50 overs (R. Sharan 102 n.o.) bt Pudukottai 131 for eight in 50 overs (Tharick Ali 46, R. Srinivasan six for 22). Cuddalore secured a bonus point; Nagapattinam 230 for six in 50 overs (S. Siddharth 93, Pradeep Raj 41, Muthukumar 36) bt Nilgris 97 in 27.4 overs (Arun Nivas five for 28, Udaya three for 23). Nagapattinam secured a bonus point. At Theni: Dharmapuri 37 in 19.1 overs (Dhanasekar five for 11) lost to Tiruvannamalai 38 for two in 5.5 overs. Tiruvannamalai secured a bonus point; Theni 117 in 38 overs (Venkatesh 46, Venkatesh Subramanian 44) lost to Kancheepuram 118 for five in 28.5 overs (Vishal 51). Kancheepuram secured a bonus point; Kancheepuram 254 for six in 50overs (Vishal 79, Vasanth 72) bt Dharmapuri 45 in 23.4 overs (Aravind three for 12).
