Easy for South
PERINTHALMANNA: South beat Central by eight wickets in the State under-22 inter-Zone cricket championship, here on Saturday.
The scores: Central 224 & 148 in 46.3 overs lost to South 246 in 93 overs (Sanuth 73 n.o., Abdul Samad 53) & 127 for two in 32.4 overs (Madan Mohan 64, Akshay 45 n.o.).
Veterans’ cricket
The Kerala veterans’ cricket team will participate in the International Cricket Festival for Wandering Clubs in Algrave, Portugal, from September 25 to 28. The team, led by former Kerala Ranji captain, J.K. Mahendra, will also be playing goodwill matches in Amsterdam during the course of its tour.
