NEW DELHI: The Indian players capitalised on an enhanced qualifying draw to get a taste of success in the Punjab National Bank $15,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament at the DLTA Complex here on Saturday. With only two foreign players in a draw of 64, it was a fruitful venture for a number of juniors. In the main draw, to be played from Monday, in some of the interesting contests, the fifth-seeded Ashutosh Singh will play Prajnesh Gunneswaran. Rohan Gajjar will challenge the top-seeded Peter Gojowczyk of Germany. Tournament Director Nar Singh assured that all efforts had been made to ensure the smooth conduct of the event despite the hectic construction activity at the venue for the Commonwealth Games. The seedings: 1. Peter Gojowczyk (Ger), 2. Yuichi Sugita (Jpn), 3. Hyun-Woo Nam (Kor), 4. Sunil Kumar; 5. Ashutosh Singh, 6. Hsin-Han Lee (Tpe), 7. Aqeel Khan (Pak), 8. Divij Sharan.
