DEHRA DUN: What could have been a major tragedy was averted when the driver of the Howrah Express pulled up the breaks as a big tree fell in front of the engine in the forests between Harrawala and Doiwala near here during a rainstorm on Friday night. “It was sheer luck that the train was moving slowly and not speeding,” said railway officials on Saturday.
