South well placed

VISAKHAPATNAM: South Zone was comfortably placed against Central Zone at close on the second day of the round-robin match in the ACA under-16 inter-zone tournament at Vizianagaram on Saturday.

M. Kullai Swamy (84, 7x4) and C.R. Tejeswar (61, 10x4) added 118 runs for the sixth wicket to help South make 310 in its first innings in reply to Central’s 147. Central was 26 for no loss in its second knock at stumps.

The scores: Central Zone 147 and 26 for no loss in 15 overs vs. South Zone 310 in 81.5 overs (M. Kullai Swamy 84, C.R. Tejeswar 61, J. Siva Koteswara Rao four for 103, Ch. Sneha Kishore three for 89). — Special Correspondent
