Sonia, Ministers greet Manmohan Singh

NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and congratulated him on India getting a waiver from the Nuclear Suppliers Group.

Ms. Gandhi, along with Union Ministers and senior party members, including Ambika Soni, Digvijay Singh, Mukul Wasnik, Janardan Dwivedi, Urmila Singh and Prithviraj Chavan, met the Prime Minister at his residence.

During the meeting, the party said, Dr. Singh thanked Ms. Gandhi for her support and the Congress Working Committee, which endorsed the initiative.

Earlier, some party general secretaries met Ms. Gandhi at her residence and congratulated her for the “success.”
