SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra on Monday transferred many senior police officers. According to a government spokesman, Inspector-General (Crime) S.P. Vaid has been posted as IGP (Home Guards and Civil Defence). He will be replaced by S.M. Sahai, who was holding the sensitive position of IGP, Kashmir zone. B Sirinivas, IGP (Operations), north Kashmir, will be the new IGP, Kashmir zone. L.T. Mohanti, IGP, Home Guards and Civil Defence, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Human Rights. Dilbagh Singh, IGP, CID, has been shifted to the traffic department in place of Mohammad Amin Shah, who has been posted as IGP, FSL/Telecommunication. Ravinder Kotwal, IGP, FSL/Telecommunication, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation, replacing Farooq Ahmad, who has been shifted and posted as IGP, CID. All three posts of DIG of north, south and central Kashmir have been filled.
