Work to overcome malnutrition: Minister

MAHABUBNAGAR: Rigorous research should be undertaken to invent the medicines and other means to overcome the problem of malnutrition, said the Minister for Health and Family Welfare Sambhani Chandrasekhar.

He inaugurated Gayatri Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Centre near Shadnagar town in the district on Thursday. Addressing the on the occasion the Minister said that rural poor are suffering with malnutrition and there was every need to supply the medicines at cheapest rates.

The Minister informed that the government is taking steps for maximum utilisation of human resources and pharmaceutical industry would help a lot in this regard. Shadnagar MLA Dr. P. Shankar Rao presided over the function ZP Chairperson K.Damodhar Reddy and others also spoke.
