TN hoopster passes away

CHENNAI: G.P. Rajmohan, a former Tamil Nadu State basketball player and later state referee passed away on Wednesday following a heart attack. He was 54 and leaves behind his wife, a daughter and a son.

A former student of Loyola College, Rajmohan became a popular basketballer during his tenure with K. Leela John memorial club. He joined ICF in 1981 and represented Indian Railways in the national championship. Earlier to that he played for Tamil Nadu.

After switching over to Chennai Port Trust, Rajmohan in his later years became a referee and also coached at the Santhome HSS. — Special Correspondent
