Pirated games DVDs seized

BANGALORE: Officials of the Fraud and Misappropriation wing of the City Crime Branch (CCB) raided a lodge and a business establishment in the city and seized pirated DVDs and computer software applications estimated at Rs. 25 lakh.

In two raids, they arrested four persons and seized fake PlayStation and other games DVDs and counterfeit software applications of Microsoft Corporation Systems Inc, Autodesk Inc, Adobe Systems Inc and Symantec Corporation.

Based on the information given by D.C. Sharma, the attorney for Microsoft Corporations, Adobe Systems Inc, Autodesk Inc and Symantec, the sleuths raided the Gokul Lodge in Chickpet and arrested three persons.

They are Suneel Natarajan alias Shankar (37), Mahesh Kumar alias Sanjay (31), residents of BTM Layout and Abdul Suban Mohammad Salena (22), a resident of 3rd cross of Tannery Road.

From them, the police seized fake software applications estimated at Rs. 20.5 lakh.
