Vets call off strike

HYDERABAD: Veterinary assistant surgeons in the State called off their 45-day-old strike following discussions with Chief Minister Y. S. Rajkasekhara Reddy here on Friday. Dr. Reddy has constituted a committee to go into the doctor’s grievances.

P. Srinivas, president, APVASA, said they had called off the agitation as the Chief Minister responded positively and promised to consider the strike period as special leave and withdraw cases filed against 11 surgeons during the strike period.
