Congress takes serious view of ticket bungling

BERHAMPUR: The Union Minister and Congress MP, Chandrasekhar Sahu said an enquiry would be made into the reasons due to which the Congress could not have official candidates in all the wards of Berhampur municipality.

It may be noted that there were double Congress candidates in seven wards of the municipality who were declared independents as both produced genuine party tickets issued by the Pradesh Congress Committee. Speaking to newsmen during his roadshow in the Berhampur municipality on Saturday, Mr. Sahu said action had to be initiated against individuals who were behind this bungling of party tickets for the municipalelection. But showing up the infighting continuing in the Congress a group of the Congress leaders led by former district Congress president Alekh Choudhury, youth leader Dipak Patnaik blamed Mr. Sahu.
